As a community servant, Willie Rankin has helped many community members navigate nonprofit and government resources to receive assistance. He built a reputation in the Tarrant County community by building strong collaborative relationships, seeking new community partnership opportunities, and cultivating individuals for fundraising and engagement. Willie served as the Executive Director of LVTRise where he helped fundraise for a community center that served as a social service HUB for the community which lowered violent crime in the neighborhood by 13%. He currently works as the Director of the Institute to Advance Child Care at Child Care Associates to implement innovated ideas to stabilize the child care industry in Tarrant County.
Alongside his position with BoardBuild, Willie volunteers on the Board of Leadership Fort Worth, BRIDGE Fort Worth, and the Zoning Commission for District 2. Willie has also served on committees for the Blue Zone Project, Veterans Coalition of Tarrant County (VETCO), and the 2017 City of Arlington Transportation Advisory Committee.
Willie is a Marine Corps, Operation Iraqi Freedom War veteran, which helped him develop the leadership skills to manage operations, lead troops, and cultivate business opportunities. He received his Executive MBA from the University of Texas in Arlington.
