Bio |
I am from the Chicago area and went to college and graduate school in Boston where I earned a BA English literature and an M.Ed. ELM Education/Human Development. I am a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas and DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
My professional background includes teaching/training, professional cooking, public relations, user experience, and project management. My personal passions are the arts & culture, real estate, cooking/entertaining/travel, and health & wellness.
I’ve lived in Chicago, Boston, Manhattan, and Paris (France), where I earned a diploma in Classical French Cuisine. I owned and operated a French bakery concept in Chicago and came across an impressive start-up organization called My Block, My Hood, My City which provides field trips for underserved teens to local business and cultural experiences. I closed my bakery in 2017 and moved to Dallas where I repurposed my business ownership skills to business growth project management roles.
My personal and professional experiences attribute to my causes of interest. I would welcome the opportunity to serve on a committee/board involving:
- Cancer
- Veteran affairs
- Underserved youth, digital divide, literacy, children/education.
- Historical preservation, urban planning.
- Arts & Culture
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you!
